Rutgers men’s basketball legend Phil Sellers has passed away at the age of 69. Sellers holds the record for the all-time leading scorer and rebounder in Rutgers history, with 2,399 points and 1,115 rebounds. He was a key member of the 1975-76 Final Four team and is considered the greatest player in Rutgers’ program history. His jersey hangs in the rafters at Jersey Mike’s Arena. Sellers will be remembered not only for his on-court accomplishments but also for his impact as a leader and role model for current Scarlet Knights players.
