Chiefs add Gillespie, Preston as Affiliated Players for opening weekend

The Spokane Chiefs have added 2008-born forwards Brody Gillespie and Mathis Preston to their roster ahead of tonight’s season opener. Gillespie and Preston rejoin the team as Affiliated Players and are eligible to play up to five games. The Chiefs kick off their season on the road tonight against the Kamloops Blazers before heading back to Washington to take on the Everett Silvertips Sunday evening. Spokane’s roster currently sits at 24 players for opening night, including 16 forwards, six defensemen and two goalies.
