Craig Counsell to Mets? 5 landing spots for Brewers manager
MILWAUKEE (BVM) – Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell is set to become one of the few sought after managers to actually hit free agency this offseason.
After deciding back in spring training to delay his negotiations until later on, the Brewers now seem to be the ones set on waiting until after the MLB playoffs to determine the next steps. Counsell would become arguably the top candidate in years to be available after leading his club to five postseason appearances in his nine years as the manager. His .531 winning percentage over that span has helped the Brewers become a yearly NL Central contender as Counsell has continued to search for a trip to the World Series.
While an opportunity to manage a big-market franchise could come calling, the Brewers will likely remain in the conversation following this season. Here’s a look at five teams that could try and land the Milwaukee manager.
