Trio claims SWAC awards after undefeated week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State claimed three of the four weekly Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) honors after its performance over the weekend in Florida, announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. Jylen Whitten was named the Offensive Player of the Week after she led Alabama State to an undefeated start in conference play with wins over Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman on the road with double-digit kills.
