Trading for Kyrie Irving midseason was just the start of the team’s efforts to surround Luka Doncic with some more premier talent. The addition of Holiday would be the perfect fit alongside the guard duo with his expertise on the defensive side and ability to match the other team’s best scorer. Dallas’ issues on the defensive end plagued them last year and while most of those issues came from a lack of rim protection, Holiday’s presence on that end of the floor is much needed wherever the team can get it to come from.
