Colorado Avalanche reassign Weinstein to Spokane

Spokane, Wash. — After an impressive rookie tournament and training camp, the Colorado Avalanche have reassigned 2005-born defenseman Saige Weinstein to the Spokane Chiefs this week. The six-foot-1 blueliner was an invite to Colorado’s rookie tournament, where he scored a game-winning goal against the Vegas Golden Knights on September 18. From there, he was invited to the club’s main training camp where he was one of 60 players, including 18 defensemen, on the ice.
