Every NFL team to have two top-five picks in the same draft
Houston Texans (2023)
This situation just unfolded during April’s draft when the Texans used their No. 2 overall pick to select Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud. The team then traded the No. 12 and No. 33 selections in 2023, plus a 2024 first-round pick and 2024 third-round pick to the Arizona Cardinals to jump to the No. 3 spot and select Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr.
In just four games this season, the deal looks promising for Houston. The Texans are 2-2, Stroud is fourth in the NFL in passing yards with 1,212 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions while Anderson is tied for fifth on the team with 15 tackles and second on the team with one sack.
