Ranking college football’s top 10 running backs so far in 2023
10. Devin Neal, Kansas
Kansas earned wins in four of its first five games of the season, and a big reason why is a consistent rushing attack led by Neal. On the year, Neal has 439 rushing yards and five touchdowns, averaging a solid 6.8 yards per carry which is a top-15 mark in the country. In each of the Jayhawks’ four wins this year, the 5-foot-11 junior back has put up 89 yards rushing or more. Neal has also proven to be a pass-catching threat out of the backfield with an additional 155 yards on the receiving end this season as well as one receiving touchdown. The Lawrence, Kansas native continues to shine for his home-state team, and should help Kansas remain competitive in the Big 12 the rest of the way.
