Montez Sweat on the trade block? 5 possible landing spots

WASHINGTON (BVM) – Defensive end Montez Sweat has been a consistent yet underappreciated presence along the Washington Commandersdefensive line as teammates Chase Young, Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne. Over his five years in D.C., Sweat has recorded 192 tackles, 45 tackles for loss, 34.5 sacks, nine forced fumbles and an interception which he returned for a touchdown.

As an impending free agent after the season, rumors have begun circulating that the Commanders may move on from Sweat. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini feels that either Sweat or Young could be moved by the deadline if Washington gets a fair deal. CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson reiterated the interest of other teams in both Sweat and Young.

With Sweat drawing interest from teams, there are a number of organizations that could use the defensive end. Here are five possible landing spots for the former first-rounder.
