SAN DIEGO (BVM) – Even with just one series left in the MLB season, talk around baseball is already beginning to turn to the offseason as fans await the result of the Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks matchup.
With big names like Shohei Ohtani and Cody Bellinger awaiting free agency, the most recent rumors have begun to surround San Diego Padres star slugger Juan Soto. The 25-year-old outfielder is coming off a season in which he had a .930 OPS, which ranked him in the top 10 of all hitters in the league.
With the Padres missing the playoffs, and reports that the team is looking to shred salary after coming into this past season with the third highest payroll, Soto now finds himself atop the trade market conversations.
With plenty of potential suitors, here are five teams that could make a run at the All-Star hitter.
