5 possible landing spots for free agent 3B Matt Chapman
TORONTO (BVM) – The offseason will be dominated by names like Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Blake Snell, but Matt Chapman is one of the best position players available this winter.
The Blue Jays third baseman cooled off after a hot start, finishing with a .755 OPS on the year, but he is considered to be in the conversation for the best defensive player at his position. He has three Gold Gloves (two platinum) to his name and when that is paired with above-average offense, Chapman is a very valuable player.
Many teams will likely reach out to the 30-year-old veteran, but these five organizations make the most sense for his future home.
