It was a surprise when Branch snuck out of the first round in April and landed in Detroit’s lap with the 45th overall pick. The rookie defensive back has been fantastic. He has 29 solo tackles and four pass deflections. Branch has emerged as a leader on the defensive side of the ball for the Lions this season and he should be an anchor for them in the secondary for quite some time.
