White Sox listening to offers for Dylan Cease; 5 possible fits
CHICAGO (BVM) – It was an ugly season on the South Side of Chicago with one of the more concerning developments being the performance of the White Sox’s ace. Dylan Cease finished the year with a 4.58 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP. He also had a 7-9 record.
There has been buzz around what the White Sox may do this offseason, and according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, they are willing to listen to offers on their star pitcher.
Cease did not have a good year, but it is important to remember what he can be. The 27-year-old had a 2.20 ERA with 227 strikeouts as recently as the 2022 season. He finished second in the AL Cy Young voting.
There will be many teams in on the righthander with two years of team control remaining, but these are the five organizations that stand out the most as potential landing spots.
