Dino Babers fired; 5 Syracuse football head coach candidates
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (BVM) – The college football coaching carousel took another spin Sunday when Syracuse University announced the firing of head coach Dino Babers after eight seasons. Babers finished his Orange tenure with a 41-55 record and just two winning seasons. The past two seasons were particularly telling as Syracuse lost six of its past seven games this season, a feat they did over the last seven games a year ago.
While the Orange aren’t considered a football hotbed, they have had sporadic years of success in recent times and play in the ACC, a Power 5 conference that should attract many to the open position. With that in mind, here are five candidates that could take over the Syracuse position.
