Duquesne University’s freshman bowling sensation, Maribeth Baker, has swept the Northeast Conference (NEC) weekly accolades, claiming both the NEC Bowler of the Week and NEC Rookie of the Week titles. Baker’s outstanding performance at the 2023 Hawk Classic saw her share the individual crown alongside Merrimack’s Cassidy Anschutz. Her exceptional play at the tournament helped Duquesne make history by recording a perfect game since the program’s launch in 2016. Baker’s stellar stats and consistent performances have also earned her the title of an NEC Prime Performer. With the next competition coming up in December, the Dukes, under the leadership of head coach Jody Fetterhoff, have compiled a strong 29-17 record for the season.
