Steelers QB Kenny Pickett Undergoes Surgery For High-Ankle Sprain

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett underwent a “tightrope” procedure on Monday morning for a high-ankle sprain suffered during Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. Pickett will be out for Thursday night’s game against New England and will more than likely miss more time than that. Backup Mitchell Trubisky will get the start, with Mason Rudolph serving as the backup. Pickett suffered the injury midway through the second quarter when he scrambled for a 2-yard gain near the goal line. Pickett went into the game and re-aggravated the injury, coach Mike Tomlin said.
