LAS VEGAS (BVM) – Super Bowl LVIII – which will feature the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11, 2024 – is the most expensive Super Bowl on record based on average ticket price, according to SeatGeek and TickPick (per USA Today).
The average ticket price as of Monday afternoon is hovering above $9,815 on the secondary markets – which is 70% more expensive than Super Bowl 2023’s average ticket price of $5,795, TickPick said per USA Today.
Since Allegiant Stadium seats 65,000 fans – someone could buy every single Super Bowl ticket with $638 million (before the taxes and fees).
Interestingly enough, the average Super Bowl ticket price in 1967 was $12, according to the Star Tribune. In 2000, it was $325. By 2009, the average price reached $1,000, and it doubled to $2000 in 2015. By 2020, the average price reached $7,172, according to GoBankingRates.
