Chip Kelly leaving; 5 UCLA Bruins head coach candidates

Pete Carroll

This would be a long shot, but if it could be executed it would certainly bring a lot of buzz to the team. Carroll is not only a Super Bowl champion head coach at the NFL level, but he was also the head coach for perhaps one of the best college dynasties of all time when he led USC to back-to-back national championships in 2003 and 2004. While Carroll decided to step down as head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, it didn’t appear in his press conference he was quite ready to hang up the whistle.

At UCLA, Carroll could return to the college ranks to a city he knows and recruited well and perhaps further cement his legacy as one of the game’s all-time greats.
