Marc-André Fleury on the trade block; 5 possible landing spots
St. Paul, Minn. (BVM) – The NHL trade deadline is still a month away, but there has been increased buzz surrounding future Hall of Fame goaltender Marc-André Fleury. The Minnesota Wild’s playoff chances look grim as they sit seven points out of a playoff spot with a few teams in between.
The 39-year-old is in the final year of his contract and potentially the final year of his career.
It makes sense for Minnesota to try and get something for its pending free agent while also allowing Fleury to chase for a fourth Stanley Cup.
The Quebec native has a .900% save percentage with a 2.59 GAA on the season. He can be a nice addition to a team that is in search of goalie help. These are five organizations that could be in that market.
