5 running backs the Ravens could pursue in free agency

BALTIMORE (BVM) – The Baltimore Ravens were the class of the NFL for the majority of the 2023 season with a dominant defense and a potent offense led by MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Baltimore went on to earn the No. 1 seed in the AFC and homefield advantage in the postseason, but the Ravens ultimately fell short of their Super Bowl goals, failing to get past Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in a 17-10 loss in the AFC championship game.

The Ravens roster remains very talented on both sides of the ball, but there could be some upgrades made going into 2024. One of the top positions of need will likely be at running back, particularly with Gus Edwards and JK Dobbins set to hit free agency. Electric rookie Keaton Mitchell will spend the offseason rehabbing from an ACL injury suffered in Week 15, leaving Justice Hill as the only healthy player under contract in the backfield for 2024 as of right now.

Reports have already indicated that the Ravens are likely to add to the running back room this offseason as recently, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler noted that some personnel across the league believe the Ravens are seeking a running back “with pedigree.”

There will be no shortage of experienced backs available for Baltimore to take a look at this offseason as some of the league’s top rushers from the last few seasons are likely to hit free agency. Here are five running backs the Ravens could pursue.
