5 running backs the Ravens could pursue in free agency
Tony Pollard
Pollard might ultimately have the least amount of “pedigree” among the running backs on this list, but he would still provide an upgrade in the Ravens’ backfield. Pollard has spent five seasons in the league and showed flashes of brilliance at times with the Cowboys, particularly in his lone Pro Bowl season in 2022 where he remained the complementary back to Ezekiel Elliott. Pollard put up his first career 1,000-yard rushing season that year and repeated the feat as the Cowboys’ lead back in 2023 while also setting a career-high with 55 receptions. The concern this past season was Pollard’s dip in efficiency as a first-time feature back as he averaged just four yards per carry. However, if Hill and Mitchell return, the Ravens might not have to use the 26-year-old like the Cowboys did, perhaps allowing Pollard to return to his 2022 form.
