Caleb Williams transferring; 5 spots for D-III hoops star

The Cyclones may seem like a random landing spot for a Wisconsin native who has played his college basketball in Minnesota, but there is a reason why Williams may want to make his way to the Hawkeye State. Williams’ father Bruce coaches women’s basketball at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa, a short distance away from the Iowa State campus.

The Cyclones have deep ties to recruiting in both Minnesota and Caleb’s native Wisconsin with five players on the roster hailing from either state. Could Iowa State use those connections to woo Caleb to a program near his family?
