10 players who could become the face of the NBA after LeBron
INDIANAPOLIS (BVM) – The 2023-24 NBA season has resumed following the All-Star break and an exciting finish is in store down the home stretch. During All-Star weekend in Indianapolis, several interesting topics were discussed by commissioner Adam Silver, players and the media regarding the future of the game.
One of the most intriguing talking points that was brought up was LeBron James’ potential retirement in the near future and who will take over as the face of the NBA once he hangs it up. Exactly when James plans to retire is still uncertain, but he does believe the game is in good hands once he does leave the league.
“You have to just let it happen organically and see what happens,” James said about the future face of the league during All-Star weekend. “But we have some great, great players in this league that can carry anything if they put their minds where they want it.”
Commissioner Silver also weighed in on the matter comparing it to how things were when Michael Jordan retired. Several All-Stars like Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton discussed who could be the future face of the league during All-Star weekend as well.

“There’s a lot of different guys it could be,” Haliburton said at an All-Star press conference. “We’ll see. To be the face of the league, winning has to come with that. Whatever young guy takes that charge and is winning moving forward, that’s probably who it will be.”
While exactly who will become the next face of the league remains a question, what is certain is that the NBA has an abundance of young, talented players poised to take over the role after James. Here are 10 players who could become the face of the NBA after James retires.
