Saquon Barkley’s free agency: 5 landing spots for Pro Bowl RB
Cincinnati Bengals
Like some other teams on this list, the Bengals have a good amount of cap space to play with this offseason. That could increase further if Cincinnati looks to move on from longtime running back Joe Mixon which would clear around another $6 million. Mixon has been extremely reliable for the Bengals over the years and is coming off of a solid 2023 season, but he does have a lot of wear on his tires. That could mean that Cincinnati ultimately looks for an upgrade like Barkley who would be a more explosive option for a rushing attack that ranked dead last in yards per game in 2023. Provided Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are all healthy, Barkley would make the Bengals’ offense whole and could return Cincinnati to Super Bowl contention.
