Johnson Named BOXTOROW HBCU National Player of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk State junior guard Diamond Johnson was named by BOXTOROW as the HBCU National Player of the Week after her performances in Norfolk State's MEAC Championship title run. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native averaged 20.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals, and shot 39 percent from the three-point range in the Spartans run through the MEAC Tournament. She helped lead the Spartans to wins over South Carolina State, Coppin State, and Howard in the 2024 MEAC Women's Basketball tournament as the Spartans became back-to-back champions.
