Dain Dainja transferring: 5 landing spots for Big Ten center
Marquette
The Golden Eagles offered Dainja out of high school and he even took an unofficial visit to the campus. He was also being recruited by Shaka Smart’s Texas program with the coach even making a visit to meet the big man. With star forward Oso Ighodaro out of eligibility, the Golden Eagles need a post presence to pair with stretch forward Ben Gold.
If Dainja liked what he saw from the Marquette program as a recruit and was encouraged by interactions with Smart, perhaps he would be interested in the Wisconsin-based squad. As a team that has been one of the best programs in college basketball over the past two seasons under Smart, the winning is there as well. Dainja would be a great addition to a Golden Eagles program as it looks to maintain its recent run of success.
