Desmond Claude transferring: 5 possible landing spots
Syracuse Orange
Syracuse has a young roster that has a lot of potential going forward, but like many other teams across the country, the Orange have lost multiple players in the transfer portal this offseason. Syracuse has been hit hardest in its backcourt, as leading scorer Judah Mintz, Quadir Copeland and Justin Taylor have all left the program. Adrian Autry has already made a couple of nice pickups in the portal with Eddie Lampkin Jr. and Jyare Davis, but Claude feels like a perfect potential replacement for Mintz in particular as a talented and athletic scorer who could be a nice piece to pair in the backcourt alongside JJ Starling. Perhaps giving Syracuse another leg up in adding Claude is that the campus is just over two hours away from home, while his mom, Paula Moore, also played basketball for the Orange in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
