10. Buddy Myer, 2B (Ellisville)
Myer is a homegrown Mississippian. Born in Ellisville, he went on to play college ball at Mississippi A&M (now Mississippi State). His professional career lasted 17 seasons (1925-1941), most with the Washington Senators, winning an American League pennant with the team in 1933. When Myer retired after the 1941 season, he had a .303 career batting average, 850 RBIs and 38 home runs.
