Dash GM explains María Sánchez trade, says there’s ‘buy-in and belief’ as team searches for results

Houston Dash general manager Alex Singer has had an interesting spring. In late March, Dash star María Sánchez posted to her social media that she had requested a trade just three months after signing a three-year, $1.5 million contract. Sánchez’s post, sent a day before NWSL’s April 19 trade deadline, seemed like a way to urge along the process by applying public pressure on the Dash.
