Ranking the top 10 greatest New York Yankees of all time
10. Álex Rodríguez, 3B (2004-13, 2015-16)
Rodríguez didn’t join the Yankees until his age-28 season after winning his first AL MVP with the Texas Rangers. He moved from shortstop to third base alongside Derek Jeter and put together two more MVP seasons. Rodríguez was a key piece of the 2009 World Series title team and finished his 12-year career in New York with 351 home runs, 1,012 runs and 1,096 RBIs. He remains in the top 10 in franchise history in homers, total bases and slugging percentage.
