Happy 109th birthday to the late Newt Kimball. Kimball made his MLB debut with the Cubs in 1937 before being traded to the Dodgers in 1939. During his 4 seasons with Brooklyn, he mostly pitched out of the bullpen and also made an appearance in the movie “Whistling in Brooklyn.” pic.twitter.com/UA0g9K9r66
