Top 5 NBA draft fits for Tennessee standout Dalton Knecht
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (BVM) – The 2024 NBA draft is drawing near as several prospects will soon make the jump to the pros after hearing their name called in Brooklyn. One of those prospects is former Tennessee Volunteers standout Dalton Knecht who is expected to be a lottery pick.
It was hard to imagine Knecht would be in this position at this time last year as he transferred to Tennessee from mid-major Northern Colorado following a season where he averaged over 20 points. The 6-foot-6, 210-pound guard’s game further blossomed in Knoxville as he became the SEC Player of the Year and a consensus first-team All-American, averaging 21.7 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 45.8% from the field and nearly 40% from 3-point range.
Knecht proved to be one of the best scorers in all of college basketball last season, and his shooting in addition to his ability to get to the rim have made him an intriguing prospect for multiple teams in the lottery that need a scorer. Here are the best NBA draft fits for Knecht.
