Top 5 NBA draft fits for Duke standout Kyle Filipowski

DURHAM, N.C. (BVM) – Kyle Filipowski enters the 2024 NBA Draft as one of the top centers available following two strong seasons with the Duke Blue Devils.

Filipowski arrived at Duke as a five-star prospect in the Class of 2022 following a standout prep career at Wilbraham & Monson Academy in Massachusetts. The 7-foot, 248-pound center made an immediate impact for the Blue Devils in 2022-23 as he earned ACC Rookie of the Year honors, averaging 15.1 points and 8.9 rebounds.

Despite some speculation that he would enter last year’s draft, Filipowski returned to Duke for his sophomore season where he became a first-team All-ACC performer and consensus second-team All-American as he averaged 16.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.5 blocks while shooting over 50% from the field and nearly 35% from 3-point range.

Filipowski’s versatility at his size and ability to impact the game on the offensive end of the floor make him an intriguing prospect who is expected to be selected at some point in the first round. Here are the five best NBA draft fits for the Duke big man.
