The tallest 7-foot prospects in the 2024 NBA Draft
NEW YORK (BVM) – The 2024 NBA Draft is poised to usher in a new era of giants towering above seven feet tall.
Zach Edey is on track to join the ranks of the tallest players in NBA history. Edey and the new generation of towering talents are set to make their mark on the league.
Here are the top five tallest prospects in the 2024 NBA Draft, sourced through eligible player rankings and official NBA Draft Combine measurements.
T-4. Kel’el Ware, 6-foot-11.75 inches
Ware’s 7-foot defensive stature is accompanied by his 9-foot-4.50-inch standing reach (No. 3 among all prospects) and his 7-foot-4.50-inch wingspan (No. 5). Most mock drafts project him as a first-round pick.
Fun seeing the new #iubb team today. My daughter kept taking about how tall @KelelWare was… and then got to find out first hand. I’d say he has a new big fan but the picture proves she’s not that big 😂 pic.twitter.com/gHu4a9utrz

T-4. Alexandre Sarr, 6-foot-11.75 inches
Sarr’s impressive mobility as a 7-footer makes him a potential No. 1 draft pick. He will be the tallest big man from France drafted since Victor Wembanyama.

Jesse Wagstaff is 6ft8

3. Quinten Post, 7-foot
Despite his intriguing 7-foot height, NBA draft profiles suggest that Post may drop to the second round and will likely require some time in the NBA G League to develop into a reliable backup big.

2. Donovan Clingan, 7-foot-1.75 inches
Clingan is set to join the rare group of NBA players who are 7-foot-2 or above (there were only seven during the 2023-24 season). His remarkable size has been turning heads since birth, as doctors were astonished by the 25-inch, 12-pound newborn.

1. Zach Edey, 7-foot-3.75 inches
At 7-foot-4, Edey is the No. 1 tallest prospect in the 2024 NBA Draft. In fact, once drafted, he’ll become one of the tallest players in NBA history. Edey is even taller than Victor Wembanyama, who is officially listed by the NBA at 7-foot-3.5-inches tall. Only nine players in NBA history have measured in at 7-foot-4 and gone on to play in over 100 games.
