Chris Bassitt’s trade value rising: 5 possible landing spots

TORONTO (BVM) – The Toronto Blue Jays will dictate this year’s MLB trade deadline. They are last in the AL East with a 44-52 record. They have two major pieces in Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette who they could move, but it is still up in the air if they will part with either star.

Toronto should still look to explore moving other players regardless, with one top name being Chris Bassitt. Mark Feinsand of MLB.com listed the 35-year-old right-handed pitcher as a trade candidate whose stock is rising.

The 10-year veteran has a 3.52 ERA on the season and a 2.57 ERA in his last seven starts. Bassitt is under contract through next season for $22 million annually. He is someone who can eat innings for a contender which should result in a decent market for him.

These are the teams that should strongly consider a pursuit of Bassitt.
