5 drivers who could replace Corey LaJoie at Spire Motorsports
Justin Allgaier
Allgaier is a NASCAR veteran as he has competed in the Xfinity Series since 2008 and actually had a two year-stint racing full-time in the Cup Series with HScott Motorsports in 2014 and 2015. He has returned to a full-time ride in the Xfinity Series since then with JR Motorsports, racking up 24 wins overall at that level and finishing runner-up in the points standings in 2020 and 2023. The 38-year-old also has one win in 2024 at Darlington. While Allgaier wouldn’t be the most exciting replacement for LaJoie, he could be an experienced option to pair with veteran crew chief Rodney Childers in the No. 7 next year. Allgaier has filled in for Spire in Cup Series cars before and was also sharp while driving Kyle Larson’s No. 5 for Hendrick Motorsports earlier this season at Charlotte.
