Blazers’ ‘goal’ to move Anfernee Simons?: 5 landing spots
Sacramento Kings
After a terrific 2022-23 season where it looked like they had emerged as a budding contender, the Kings took a step back in 2023-24. It became evident last season that Sacramento needed more weapons to truly challenge in the West, and general manager Monte McNair already addressed that this offseason by adding DeMar DeRozan. However, one more offseason splash with Simons could allow Sacramento to push all of its chips to the center of the table over the next couple of years. The Kings have plenty of future first-round picks that they could send to the Blazers in addition to perhaps shooting guard Kevin Huerter. While Huerter was decent for a Kings team that was top-10 in the league in scoring last year, the superstar potential Simons has would give Sacramento a more lethal starting core next season.
