5 NHL records that could be broken during the 2024-25 season
Career blocked shots: Mark Giordano, 2,164
Mark Giordano is the NHL’s all-time blocked shots leader with 2,164. The 40-year-old defenseman played 46 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs last season, but he did not sign with anyone in the offseason, potentially leaving his record up for grabs. Marc-Édouard Vlasic enters the season only 20 blocked shots behind Giordano and he has recorded over 100 in each of the past two seasons.
