ODAC releases women’s basketball preseason poll

FOREST, Va. — Averett University women’s basketball was voted 13th in the 2024-25 Old Dominion Athletic Conference preseason poll, which was released on Tuesday. Averett, picked 11th last season, finished 12th at 4-21 overall with a 2-16 record in conference play. The Cougars return seven upperclassmen, along with five newcomers to form a deeper roster for the upcoming campaign. Two-time reigning ODAC champion Washington and Lee University were picked as the favorite, accruing six first-place votes.
