Kats fall to Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Sam Houston women's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 66-51 to Kansas at Phog Allen Fieldhouse on Monday. The Bearkat (2-1) defense held the Jayhawks (2-0) close in the first quarter, keeping them within an eight-point margin. Sam Houston defense forced turnovers that lead to eight points and held Kansas to 36 percent shooting.
