Strong Named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week

STORRS, Conn. – After helping the No. 2 UConn women's basketball team to a pair of season-opening wins, Sarah Strong was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday. The No. 1-ranked recruit in the 2024 freshman class, Strong started her first career collegiate games and averaged 15.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.0 steals per game while shooting 65.0 percent.
