PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Western Connecticut State University freshman C/F Nia Rencher (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) was name the Little East Conference (LEC) Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week after averaging 14.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while shooting 67 percent (10-of-15) from the floor in a 1-1 week for the Wolves. She netted 16 points and grabbed 12 boards in an 89-34 victory over York (N.Y.), going 5-of-7 from the floor and 6-for-10 at the line after opening the week with a 12-point, nine-rebound effort in against Mount Saint Vincent.
