Lauren Wade scores 4 goals, Jacksonville blanks Lufkin, 4-0
LUFKIN – Jacksonville’s Lauren Wade went on a scoring spree Tuesday night in Lufkin, and that spelled trouble for the Lady Panthers. Wade, a junior, knocked in four goals in her team’s 4-0 victory over Lufkin in the District 10-5A opener for both outfits. In six matches this season, Wade has now scored a team-leading 11 goals. Janahi Ramirez and Sophia Romero earned assists in the match. Collecting the shutout win in goal for the Maidens was Ramzee Matjeka. Next up for Jacksonville is a 7 p.m. match Friday against Whitehouse, who ripped Marshall, 4-0, Tuesday night.
