Russell Wilson’s free agency: 5 landing spots for veteran QB
PITTSBURGH (BVM) — For a stretch, it appeared as if the partnership between Russell Wilson and the Pittsburgh Steelers would be a fruitful one. The Steelers were 8-2 in mid-November with a favorable shot at an AFC North crown.
It looked like the inexpensive one-year deal he’d signed to join the team would be parlayed into another pact to keep him around. A late-season collapse clouded his future in black and gold.
A 10-time Pro Bowler, Wilson passed for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions during his first — and maybe only — season as a Steeler. He’s a free agent, and Pittsburgh’s plans behind center are unclear.
Here are five possible landing spots for Wilson this offseason.
