Busch’s 2024 performance makes it tough to be optimistic about his outlook for 2025, but it’s hard to envision NASCAR’s active wins leader going winless again this year. If Busch can get into the playoffs, anything can happen with the experience he has as a two-time Cup Series champion (2015, 2019). Busch has 63 career Cup Series wins, but only three in two years with Richard Childress Racing. The 39-year-old hasn’t taken the checkered flag since June 2023 and endured a difficult 2024 where he had just 10 top-10 finishes and placed 13th or worse in his final nine races. Still, the driver of the No. 8 Chevrolet can turn things around in a hurry. Winning his first Daytona 500 in his 20th year as a full-time Cup Series driver would be a great start, but Busch should find a way to win at some point this season regardless.
