10 MLB prospects who could make 2025 Opening Day rosters
Roman Anthony, OF, Boston Red Sox
Anthony was a second-round pick by the Red Sox in 2022 out of powerhouse Stoneman Douglas High School. The 6-foot-2 outfielder is now one of the top prospects in MLB with a real chance of cracking the Opening Day roster in Boston. Starting outfielder Wilyer Abreu has not played this spring due to illness and he might not be ready by Opening Day. Anthony has also dealt with illness, notably losing 10 pounds, but he has already returned to camp. Anthony and fellow top prospect Kristian Campbell are both candidates to fill in for Abreu.
