Guardians To Promote Doug Nikhazy

The Guardians list left-hander Doug Nikhazy as their probable starter for the second game of tomorrow’s doubleheader against the Red Sox. Cleveland already added him to their 40-man roster over the offseason. Teams are permitted to carry an extra player on the active roster during a doubleheader, so they won’t need to make any corresponding moves. It’ll be Nikhazy’s major league debut.
