Banana Slugs Claim Three Individual Titles On Day One of C2C Championships

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The UC Santa Cruz men’s and women’s track and field teams competed well on Day One of the C2C Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Christopher Newport University on Friday afternoon. On the men’s side, the Banana Slugs brought home three gold medals in the pole vault, 10k, and long jump, putting them in second place with 56 points after the first day of competition.
