Softball: Macalester’s Martha Miller Named MIAC Pitcher of the Week

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Macalester College sophomore Martha Miller (Medford, Wis./Medford) was selected the MIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week, the league announced today. Miller tossed a five-inning perfect game in Saturday’s win over St. Scholastica at home. In the first game of a MIAC doubleheader, Miller dominated the Saints’ hitters while the Scots’ bats were on fire in a 9-0 victory. She faced the minimum 15 batters, striking out eight without a hit, a walk or an error. It is her first no-hitter as a Scot, as she improved to 11-6 on the season. Macalester ended up sweeping St.…
