PREP BASEBALL: Venice rallies past Alonso in finals opener

VENICE — The Venice baseball team had to sweat a bit into the late innings, but eventually, the Indians put themselves in position to win. Trailing by two runs heading into the bottom of the fifth during Wednesday's Region 7A-2 championship opener against Alonso, Craig Faulkner's group combined to score five runs in the fifth and sixth innings, going on to beat the Ravens, 6-3.
